Winter

Alpe des Chaux is sittuated in the large ski area of Villars, Gryon and Les Diablarets. A very varied ski area, with more than 120 km of trails (pdf), offering something for everyone from trails for children (free access for children up to 10 years of age) to trails for skilled skiers, not to mention the magnificent snowpark on the Chaux-Ronde trail. Villars-Gryon is an ideal destination for spending unforgettable winter holidays with your family. The chalet is ski-in, ski-out, at approx. 200 meters from the Fracherets ski lift that will be your access to the ski area. The nearby ski school of Gryon offers group lessons and private lessons, with fully qualified instructors, for learning or perfecting ski and snowboard skills. Enjoy a great time with your family! Far from the ski lifts, the mountains present themselves in their natural and wild state. The area is ideal for winter hiking, cross coutry ski and and offers the most beautiful off-trail touring routes with sealskins on your skis. Summer

In the summer time, Alpe des Chaux turns into an oasis of tranquility, only disturbed by the bells of cows grazing around the village. Summer holidays in Alpe des Chaux revitalize. The chalet is in the middle of ne of the largest nature reserves in Switzerland. For golfers, the Villars Golf Club is 20 minutes away. An immense network of hiking trails will allow you to explore the overwhelming mountains. The majesty and serenity of the landscapes will make an impression that you'll never forget. Famous trails, easily accessible from Alpe de Chaux are the 3 day "Tour du Muveran", Le Tour du Massif des Diablerets and the 2 day roud trip to Derborence. Shorter trails withouth nightstay are no less impressive, for instance the "Tour de l'Argentine", or hikes to the nearby farmer villages of Solalex, Taveyanne and Anzeindaz.
